Hi Everyone,

I am going to apply for Canada FSW under NOC 2171 Information systems analysts and consultants. I have 10+ years of experience in Information Technology. But I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate - B.E(Mechanical). When I checked the employment requirements for this 2171 NOC, it is mentioned as below:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, business administration or a related discipline
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.

I am confused/worried here if I am eligible for applying to this 2171 NOC. Though I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate, I have my work 10+ years work experience in IT. Am I eligible to apply, If anyone can advice me it would be great. Thanks in advance!!

Hi, as long as you can provide evidence that you have the requisite work experience you claim with your employment letter and reference letter stating the roles which match those on the NOC list as well as provide an evaluation report for your highest education qualification you are good to go. The statement you are worried about does not have any impact with CIC. We are not expected to have exact match of education and job as you know there are lots of engineering graduates working in banks and consulting too. So go ahead and apply and good luck

Hello Friends, Nice to see a seperate thread of NOC 2171, can someone please help with a sample Reference letter format / Experience letter format. also I just started process and I expect my appln to sent by Sep last week. Will it be too late ? and is there any due date for sending Appln ( I believe dec 31st 2014 ) as from Jan 2015 different process will be in place.

I have completed by Bachelors in Electronics Engineering & worked under NOC code 2171. When creating express entry profile, my field of study will be Applied Science or Computers/IT.
Please note: I have experience in NOC code 2171. Kindly advise

I am going to apply for SINP. Here, I am getting confused about my selected NOC-2171.
My work Experience- I worked at a reputed Bank's IT department as 'IT Business & Security analyst' since April,2009.
My education background - B.Sc in Electrical and Engineering -2008 (WES - Bachelor degree equivalent)
Masters in Business Administration - 2011 (WES - Masters degree equivalent)
Masters in IT - 2016 (WES- Masters equivalent)

When I checked the employment requirements for this 2171 NOC, it is mentioned as below:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, business administration or a related discipline

In this point i am getting confused whether i will face any rejection from Saskatchewan province.

If anyone can help regarding this, i would be grateful to you..

For SINP, your education must match your NOC.

I have a question about the SINP system. I submited all the documents and paid 350 dollars. Now the status is application received. But when I came back to the education section and work experience section(Submited Part 1), I can not find the documents I uploaded before. Is it normal?
