Hello,

I have applied under 2171 NOC and my Employer reference letter mentioned below duties, will it be fine?
I already got AOR 2 month back.
I am just concerned so required some help.

Role: IT Consultant
Duties:
1. Analyzing functional and business requirements
2. Preparing high level & low level designs
3. Automation script development
4. providing technical support to the defects
5. Creating the Business specifications
6. Co-ordinating with the team
7. Project delivery and maintenance
8. Regression test execution

Second that. Looks a little short and not detailed enough. Just my opinion, but if it was my reference letter I would ask
my employer to elaborate on the bullet points and make it more detailed.

Here are my Responsibilities:



o Conducting Business Requirement Workshops to gather requirements and preparing the Business Requirements documents
o Preparing Design documents, data flow diagrams and Data Interface structures for Shipping Notifications, Unlock Codes and Deliveries.
o Estimating the effort and providing the project delivery timelines
o Document, develop and deliver various interfaces based on agreed design between Client Middleware and its partners.
o Performing developer testing and supporting the integration testing with various carriers and client business analysts till Sign offs.
o Monitor exisiting Interfaces for data flow and responding to queries of Incident co-ordinators in case of service outage
o Perform root cause analysis of incidents in production systems
o Schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases and upgrades to the landscapes.
o Write and update the support documentation for the existing and new interfaces for the support purpose.
o Tracking overall delivery timelines and customer notes and appreciations.

It makes a lot of references to IT responsibilities...I think it looks great! I compared it with NOC 2171 main duties from the HRSDC site.

• performed User Acceptance Testing against 2 trans-Europeans Systems, in a dedicated QA environment;
• provided test reports to the higher management and stakeholders and made recommendations for improvements;
• based on the inputs/requirements coming from the client, produced Conformance Testing Organization Document (CTOD) which described the CT process at the level of workflow, key interactions among stakeholders, their roles and responsibilities and important deliverables
• produced National Project Planning templates (NPP) and consolidated all the NPPs upon reception and highlighted the risk of non-conformance to the client when delays in the planning was noticed;
• presented the NPPs and CTOD during SCIT meeting, clarifying questions from MSs;
• together with the client established the testing planning, milestones and deadlines;
• prepared, facilitated, coordinated and monitored the CT campaigns and the execution of the campaign by the Member States (MS);
• managed direct interaction with the MS, provided support, advices and solutions during CT activities;
• organized and hosted CT conference call with the customer, the MSs and other parties, produced and delivered the minutes of each conference calls to all participants
• collected the test results and produced detailed test report describing the issues encountered during the CT activity, mentioned lessons learned and suggested improvements

The duties do match but you have way too much going on. Shorten it to 7-8 duties that capture the essence of your responsibilities.

Appreciate if you could help me with advising if the following could be considered for NOC 2171. I am in a huge dilemma since my title is referring to NOC 2172(Databases). I am not into database analyzing or administration but work on Systems which is used for Database activity monitoring.

• Plan and implement Guardium-IBM Database Security Monitoring Tool as per Information Security Risk and Audit requirement on priority systems to comply with SOX regulations.
• Collect the database port details from Database Administrator for configuring Guardium Monitoring.
• Create and generate Guardium audit reports for Information Security Log Review Team.
• Provide Guardium systems information to business partners and internal auditors.
• Keep Guardium systems updated by installing the latest patches or software versions.
• Perform Disaster Recovery and Resilience tests on Guardium systems to ensure availability at all times.
• Create Audit process, Purge, Archive and Backup processes within Guardium system as per the Information Security and Risk requirements.
• Follow Change Management procedures for Guardium implementations to avoid any impact on Hosts/Servers.
• Create and implement retention policy for archives and backups. Restoration of archived reports at the request of Information Security and Risk for forensic analysis.
