NOC 2171- Can I apply now

HI,
I am a technical consultant with 2+ years experience and I am planning to apply under NOC 2171. I am not a computer sceince engineer, but I am a mechanical engineer. But I am a certified consultant for the consulting work I am doing.

There is a lot of emails linking NOC 0213 to NOC 2171, Please tell me, if I apply with NOC 2171 will my request will get rejected.

I request some experts to guide me.

NOC 2171 is not eligible as an FSW1 skilled worker.

So what is the option left now? which NOC to take, can anyone guide me.
I am not understanding things clearly, if 2171 cannot be used, why it is still available in NOC list without any warning.

In detailed occupation structure, Major Group-21, then 217 -Computer and Information Systems Professionals under that 2171- Information Systems Analysts and Consultants.

There are 100s of NOC available based on job descriptions. Out of these only 38 are in Ministerial Instructions who can apply for FSW -1

You can not apply under 2171 for FSW-1

0213 NOC mentions that applicant should be handling a managers responsibility. for me I am a technical consulant handling few of the roles like client facing and all. My designation is not a manager. What should I do to apply further, do they consider only managers or other experienced candidates also.

They consider any one who matched the job duties of 0213. Designation is not important but duties are.

To prove that you do the same duties as mentioned for 0213 on hsrdc site you will need to provide a reference letter from your employer including your designation, salary, duration of service and job duties.

I have seen on this forum that lot of people in 0213 getting rejected because their duties are not matching 0213 duties.
