NOC 2171/2173

Hi All,
Need your urgent help.
My application was sent in april and i received the AOR in june, but i realized that i have the wrong NOC in the application.

My work permit is under the NOC 2171, i checked it in the LMO application that my employer submitted.
In the PR application i have listed 2173, my roles and responsibilities match with this NOC code.

Now i am totally confused that i should write to their office saying that my correct NOC is 2171 as that is mentioned on my LMO application or leave it as such.

If you feel i should write to their office what all points i should include.

I would suggest you send out a clarification mail or note ASAP

I know of a friend whose application got rejected for NOC Codes mismatch

Please act swiftly is my suggestion.

Can u post your roles and responsibilities as per employers reference letter to see what is matching exactly? Because 2171 and 2173 are bit close. Also post your designation as per letter

thanks for your response...my R&R is in a pdf and i will have to type
considering that my two last work permits were under the NOC 2171, today i have written to case processing office in ottawa

thanks friends for your replies.
Today i emailed the revised Form mentioning NOC as 2171 to case processing unit, i also sent them an email regarding the same and confirming that actual physical copy is on the way
hope they will consider it...my document will reach them by tuesday

Hi ,

I made a similar mistake ... should I wait for my AOR number and then send them my change NOC number ?

I called the Call centre today and they weren't much of help.

Please advise if you got your NOC number changed ? and application worked out fine ?

Is your case exactly the same as NOC 2171 and 2173 coz they are pretty close?

Well my job is inbetween 2171 and 2283...


and I put 2171 ... but when i read my employment letter and 2283 description they are more of a match.
