I am planning to travel in June 2016 (for the weather, as well as the fact that I have on-going projects to see through to completion and close down my firm here). I am initially landing in Calgary, because my wife's uncle is there. I am also in the process of applying to universities to further my education. If I get into U of A (my first choice), then I will move to Edmonton for the fall term.

My process is yet stuck, no moment at all after TLU!

Even i was planning to land in Calgary, but going by the recent market updates, it doesnt seem favorable to land in Alberta, since i have no relatives in Alberta. So i am either planning to Ontario or BC.

Hi, sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, my wife's uncle is a Canadian citizen, living in Calgary. But that only accounts for five points. Shouldn't make that much of a difference when our NOC has so few applications.

You've got that right guys. Alberta is no where near as welcoming for civil engineers as it was before declined oil prices. Let's hope things will get better by next summer
