NOC 1123 - Marketing Manager

Hi,

I was planning to apply for PR ( express entry) and had a question regarding the NOC Code . Im an engineer working in marketing for 5 years.

Duties: Lead generation, organizing events, designing brochures, market research etc.

this fits with NOC 1123 requirement but other duties mentioned there are for advertising related occupations

Questions

1. Can i go ahead with this NOC itself? 1123?
2. Will my non relevant bachelors degree be an issue?
3. Any other documents for verifying work experience required apart from reference letter joining letter and employment contract ?
4. Was a contractor so dont have pay slips. Is that fine?

1. The NOC code that most fits your job duties is the one you use, so yes.
2. No
3. You must submit a proper experience letter per CIC requirement with at least 9 duties. You may use the NOC descriptions as a guide to match yours.
4. This may be an issue in proving the fulltime criteria - 40hrs/week. Make sure it is clearly explained in your letter, your payments salaries etc. So even if you were a consultant you worked per fulltime requirements. I would advice to include an LOE for this.

Don't be vague with any information or try to hide details - this will never work in your favour. Agents scrutinise all documents. As long as you have proof they will be happy with your application.

Thanks for your reply. Regarding point 4, what's an LOE?

Im planning to add additional info in lieu of no payslips situation that i have. I.e all my tax filings, payment summaries to my bank account showing the org name, contract letters every year etc . Will that be fine?

The more information you can add the better but explain your situation and why you submit more in the LOE.

What is your crs? Have you got NOI from any province by now?
