Hi Everyone,
New to the forum here. Been lurking for the last several months and have really founds this useful!
I'm still looking to get my 1 year of experience before I can apply for PR under the CEC -- work permit will expire Aug 2013, so feeling lots of pressure now. There will be an opening in my department for an Account Manager position, and I'm hoping that qualifies under NOC 1114. The job title is there, however, the selection of duties is only for *some* of the jobs that fit under this category. I know from several of the other senior members that it's the job description that qualify not the job title. If this makes it any clearer, I work for a major Canadian bank and we deal mostly with institutional clients (portfolio management companies in this case).
What do you suggest in this case, if the sample job descriptions aren't there but the job title is? The education/certification requirements are there (e.g. university degree, CSC, etc.). I'm planning on calling the helpline on Monday morning to confirm. My concern is that if I end up taking this position and apply 1 year later and I get a rejection that it hasn't qualified, then I'm afraid it's bye-bye for me (I've been here since 2001 as a student...).
Thanks in advance for your help!
