I graduated from University with accounting degree, and has been working at a fortune 500 company for over a year. Given my excellent performance, I was promoted to Senior Analyst position after 8 months. My current salary range is around $70K...I working toward my CMA at the same time with year one completed.

30% of my main duties fall under NOC 1311 ( journal entry, reconciliation), 70% fall under NOC 1111 (financial reporting, monitor key reporting systems, address internal control risks, provide business advice on any new process, etc).

I am thinking of using NOC 1111 in my application. My only concern is that if it requires an accounting designation (as I have not got CMA)yet. Should I change it to 1311, which does not require designation but also doesn't match my job descriptions and my salary.

Any thought?

Thank you very much!

designation is not required for 1111, unless you are working as a public accountant. You should go with the NOC where the lead statement and majority of duties fit best.

hi jes_on

Could you help me with a query I have, please?
I will be applying for PR under CEC in the next week or two. Just waiting on employment reference letter. I have an LMO based work permit since January of this year prior to which I held a PGWP. My title is Marketing Communications Coordinator and when applying for LMO I selected the job NOC code 1123. However, when I received the LMO, Service Canada had assigned me under 4163 and mentioned Marketing Coordinator next to it. Problem is, I don't do any of the duties under 4163, but most of them under 1123. The LMO-based work permit I received mentions my occupation as 'Economic Development Officer' which is one of the many titles under 4163.

My employment reference letter will only include the duties of a marketing coordinator, and although I don't have all the exact wording, I am not too sure how closely it will resemble the duties of 4163. It is not my fault that despite asking to be classified under 1123 I was assigned 4163, and much of the duties hardly compare.

Although my job is skilled, not sure if this can cause any errors in processing or raise questions. What should I do?
