Hi, go to the CIC website and study the duties for these NOCs then pick one; NOC 0111 Financial managers, NOC 1111 Financial auditors and accountants, or NOC 1114 Other financial officers .
Best of luck.

Dear All,

I am a Telecommunication Engineer with 6 years of Networking experience (Job responsibilities matching 90% with Computer Network Technician 2281). Am I eligible to apply? as I asked this same question to many people who are aware about Canadian Immigration process. They said that Visa officer will find ambiguity that you are an engineer but applying in a technician category. Please help me. Awaiting reply.

Hi

It is the job duties that matter, not the job title. Since your job responsibilities match 90% with NOC 2281, then you are eligible to apply. Just be sure that the reference letter from your employer(s) reflect this 90% match, this is critical. When completing the Generic application form, you can even note your Intended Occupation as one of the titles stated in the NOC description.

So, start getting that application train rolling. What will take the most time is the language test and the educational credential evaluation (ECA). So start by promptly booking your test date, if you haven't a valid test result (IELTS is most common for English) and applying for your ECA (WES is most common and probably still the fastest even though they've increased the processing time to 20 business days after receiving required documents). Then while you wait for these two to be received, you can go about getting the other information required for creating a complete application package.

You can get additional details here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp.

The faster you can get these done the better, so you can send your completed application in time to make the 1000 sub-cap.

Good luck! ;)

I agree with both sentiments quoted above.

@ charpyface

I know persons who would want to apply for NOC 1111, but won't even get IETS dates until even after July, so at least you are better off, you already have a date, and one within June.

Just don't get complacent about the test. It is relatively easy for native English speakers, but sometimes people get overconfident because of this fact and don't prepare. It is for exactly this reason, native English speakers failed and had to retake the test, especially if there are other dominant dialect(s) within their country. As with anything else, put in a little effort and prepare. If you do this, you will no doubt end up in the higher bands ;).
And don't daydream during the listening portion like I did. My result in listening was only 8.5 compared to 9 for all the other sections. ;D

True that. It's really easy for the mind to want to wander off during that section, but you have to keep your ears on the prize, lol.

Btw, those are excellent scores. Was your overall band score a 9 then or an 8.5?

9.

As a native speaker it is embarrassing that I didn't get 9 across the board.

You should send all your post secondary credentials for assessment, as there is no any additional charge for evaluation of extra credentials. I sent my University degree as well my acca certificate along with the transcripts and WES evaluated university degree equivalent to Master's degree and ACCA equivalent to 3 years bachelor's degree in accounting and the evaluation consists of 2 pages.
I have filled my online application at WES, I included my all qualification till masters, but I did not included ACCA and BSc from OBU. How could I include it in WES? Should I need to request ACCA to send my transcript to them? I am just affiliate not member, will they consider my affiliate status?

You should request both OBU and ACCA to forward your transcript should that count towards your eligible occupation. However, your Masters degree counts more in terms of score points. So,send your Masters degree for assessment and follow the procedure for sending transcripts as specified for your country.
