Hello people! Hope everyone is having a good day!

Just started this topic coz I couldn't find any thread from my profession. I am a Construction Project Coordinator and my PR is in process.

It would be good if you could pitch in with your research and leads for any jobs, what places are you targeting etc.

As of now my choices are between BC (Vancouver) & Alberta (Edmonton). Calgary seemed to be the obvious choice based on public opinion but due to the oil slide etc. I think I'm gonna stay away.

Also, is it necessary to get a certification before you leave or take any exams after you land there?

I hope this turns into a healthy discussion!

Cheers!

Hello Anushka!

Are you from the same profession too? What is your current visa status? Have you zeroed in on any city so far? Looking at any licensing/certifications?

My focus in currently on Edmonton and the GTA. I don't know if should be a EIT or not, the occupation is certainly not regulated!

Looks like very few of our type!

Cheers!

Hi Iceman, can you please let me know under what NOC did you choose for your Project Coordinator position? Thank you
