Hello people,
Here is my situation,
I came as student in 2017 and graduated in 2019 with Masters in Food Engineering from university. I was working as part time in a restaurant from 2018. I got my work permit in 2019 May 2019 and started working as full time in same restaurant from June 2019 as Restaurant Assistant Manager.

I wrote NOC codce 0631 in my EE profile and received ITA on May 1, 2020. As per NOC guidelines, the NOC 0631 says:
  • Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is usually required.
  • Several years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
  • Responsible beverage service certification is usually required for managers of establishments serving alcoholic beverages.
My question is:
1. I don't have a college or program related to management. WHAT DO I DO NOW??? I am confused.
2. It says several years of experience in food service sector - which I don't have. (several years). WHAT SHOULD BE DONE NOW???

Please help. Please share your comments if you are in the same situation OR encountered this situation at any point.
Thanks.

It is not required for you to meet those education/experience requirements, they are just guidelines as to what qualifications people who work in that NOC code typically hold. You just need to show that you carry out the duties and responsibilities listed in that NOC code. Hope this helps!
