Wishing everyone a speedy PR process now since backlog of FSW14 would reduce each VO will pick up speed.. stay positive from here..!!


Beside our status can somebody advised if they had done any research for the jobs , career oriented course that can be done at Canada.

What upgradations would be required to work as purchasising manager.. can anyone help to list down... am seeing HR group ppl are sharing lot of good jobs, bridging courses to upgrade.. but this group we are yet to start. pls share with each other and all will get help.!!

It's a great idea. Count me in. I have learned that networking is the key to get a good job. So this is a wonderful proposal.

Regarding up-gradation, I think APICS - CPIM certification is recognized everywhere in Canada. If you don't have better to start it now and finish from Canada. Else, Canada has it's own certification course called SCMP certification. But it's time consuming.

Jobs a pretty much available everywhere, but again depends on your industry background.

Have you guys started applying for jobs yet? How are you going about job hunting please share.

hey vishaal, it gets updated on ecas only, you dont get email for medicals.. to check if hospital has uploaded or not you need to directly call same hospital , they will tell u.

other ways of finding a job is to attend bridging programs related to supply chain. I have researched there are two programs that being offered... one from Acces Employment (http://www.accesemployment.ca/) and second is from MicroSkill Development (http://www.microskills.ca/). These are for those that are landing in ON province. I am going to contact these two training centres after i land in Toronto in July.

Also, its essential to undergo an occupation specific language training (OSLT). I am still trying to find the colleges that offer this training for professionals like us working in supply chain management.

CPSM is a good option and I thing in today's job market learning Mandarin is also a Plus.

Thanks for the information. I also plan to land by mid Sept in Toronto. I have heard there are colleges that offer bridging programmes and paid internships as well. That will be good to gain so called Canadian experience.
