NOC 0 Job with One year PG Diploma

Dear All,

Need your valuable opinions.

I am planing to apply for PG diploma into Information security. Which is very relevant to my current job profile. (7+ Yrs of experience).

One year course will get me one year Work permit. Can i apply for PR if able to get job under NOC 0 job (0213) (During one year work permit)
OR do i need to complete 2 yrs master program and then one year experience.

Hi Ujbaby,

2 yrs courses are not giving much value add to my profile. Also after spending 7 yrs in the industry, i don't want to be out of touch for long.
Funds and responsibilities are also a concern.

So After completing one year course, if i am able to manage NOC 0, A Job(During one yr work permit). Would i be eligible for PR ?

You need either
1) 2 years of study (earning a degree/diploma/certificate) PLUS one year of skilled work experience (Post-graduate stream)

OR

2) Two years of skilled work experience (foreign worker stream).

Supposedly, if you complete an eight-month course (the usual one academic year), you will only be eligible for an eight month work permit. To get a 12-month permit, you would need a 12-month program, etc. A two year program, tho, will get you a 3 year PGWP.

Would a 3 Semester (Accelerated/ Fast Track) 2 year Diploma course in "Medical Office Administration" make me eligible for a 3 year work permit?..
I was told that any accelerated course could be completed in about 18 months. But, will this make me eligible for a 3 year work permit?.
