NOC – 0631 – Ready for Jan 2013?

Hi Readers, I‘ve made my mind that I will be applying under FSW 0631. We'll know that it is on hold right now. All the news says that FSW will open in Jan 2013. Don't know how true it is.
I have done BBA + 1 Year Hotel Management Diploma. From last 4 years I've been working as Restaurant Assistant Manager. It is a small restaurant, very famous in its own locality though.
what all documentations I have to prepare & be ready?

I am very positive & have lots of hope for this Jan 2013 announcement & will definitely apply for FSW. 8)

I would appreciate some more clarification, help from everyone who can through some lights. :eek:

I just wanted to make sure that I am not hoping for sky & making fool of myself. :-\

Hi Kinal, we're in the same boat. u can go through CIC website for list of documents. And yes, this forum is really helpful. All the aspirants, who are plaaning to apply under 0631 in Jan 2013 can gather here, we all might be of help someone or the other.

& kinal below is the list of duties of Rest Manager that might help you:-

A restaurant and food service manager plan, organize, direct, control and assess the operations of restaurants, bars, cafeterias and other food and beverage services. They are employed in food and drink service establishments, or they may be self-employed.

Assistant Manager, restaurant
Banquet Manager
Bar Manager
Cafeteria Manager
Catering service Manager

Food services Manager
Hotel food and beverage service manager
Restaurant Manager
Restaurateur – Food Services

Main duties of 0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers:
Restaurant and food service managers execute some or all of the following duties:
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or other food or beverage service
• Decide type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Employ personnel and manage staff training
• Set staff job schedules and check staff performance
• Control inventory, monitor revenues and adjust procedures and prices
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Discuss arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
• Negotiate arrangements with customers for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.

Employment requirements of 0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers:
• Achievement of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is generally required.
• Quite a few years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
