No update from IRCC on citizenship oath ceremony. Next steps?

So I contacted my local MP and today they sent me a email that IRCC sent out a letter for virtual ceremony on the 21st September. The problem now is that I have not received any such letter either in the mail or through email. Does anyone know if they sent out invites through regular mail instead of emails?

Are you sure it didn't end up in your spam or junk folder? Did you check those?

Not apparently for sure, my oath was scheduled but the agents kept denying I am not oath ready, then I had to talk to the IRCC agent to verify with their hot line to the local office then the call center agents initiated email just a day before my oath.

Apparently, they didn't send it the first time. They sent it later and did it twice.

For those that applied for Canadian passport, how did you go about it?

You have to apply by mail, unless you have to travel in less than 30 days and you can prove it. Then they will book you to come in-person. The instructions are on their website.

Quick update:

Sept 11: sent PP application by mail to Gatineau
Sep 13: delivered to PP office
Oct 2: received certificate by mail (tracking #) and PP app approved
Waiting for PP now...

Hello everyone,
Anyone received their citizenship certificate recently by forwarded mail?
I forwarded my mailing address but I don’t know if the certificate can go to a forwarded mail or not. They told me it should be written on the left corner of the envelope if it can be forwarded or not.
Anyone have an answer?

Didn't they say 2 to 3 weeks ? thats what i heard with the clerk who assisted with my oath ceremony.

Yes, mine said you will get it in 2 weeks.
But when I called IRCC next week , they said they already mailed it the oath day,
I thought it should arrive soon.
But it seems all the hold up is with Canada Post due to the virus .

I see, didnt know you can ask for the mailing status, my oath was on 30th September hopefully I will get the certs soon.

Received oath invite yesterday and did not see the email! Missed my oath ceremony this morning.

Feeling very sad and dejected. Did anyone else face this situation? I was told that the ceremony will be held again within 2 weeks. But unsure if they'd actually reschedule me to a date within 2 weeks.

Received an invite for Oath ceremony again on 15 Oct, 4 weeks after I missed it the first time. Thanks for the support everyone!
