No update from IRCC on citizenship oath ceremony. Next steps?

Unfortunately, regular passport applications are being handled through the mail-in service only.
Only urgent and express applications when provided with evidence of the urgency are given appointment to file the application manually.

I am still in process of receiving citizen certificate...Will the citizen certificate include the next steps process on how to apply for passport? please confirm

You will get ONLY the citizenship certificate. Nothing else.
Passport is an optional document for the citizen to apply for separately, to assist them in travelling across the border.
If you want the passport then you will have to apply for it. You can start from the below link.

• Passport Application,
• 2 Passport Photos,
• Certified cheque or money order (postal or bank) in Canadian funds, made payable to the "Receiver General for Canada" if using this mode otherwise you have to mention the credit card details in the application form if using a credit card as the mode of payment

For those who got virtual oath invites, was a line added to ECAS to indicate that you were invited?

No line has been added, to my ecas, I got invited on August 28th, Oath Sept 1st, it still says DM. But then again I am dealing with Edmonton I am not surprised.

no more lines until Oath/you become citizen
2-4 weeks for citizenship certificate

Did you write them using the webform before you got an invite? I'm in Edmonton too and I've emailed them on the web form twice about getting my invite urgently and no reply on both occasions. I even attached supporting documentation on why I need urgent processing. I passed my test back in Feb.

I did my test in October 2019, yes I had sent a web form and got back a generic message .
