no update after AOR1, any experience why?

When did you order your notes? I would love to hear if they help you understand the delay at all once you get them.

Ordered Sept 8 (Sunday), expecting (but not putting any hopes) to receive it on October 8.

Edit: I even requested them through webform to update me on my application status. I said that I have not received any communications /updates since April. But no success. Sent that on October 1st.

Maybe I was patient for a little too long. This whole application not processing is giving me a lot of anxiety. We wanted to move to Canada before our son would start school just so we don't need to pull him out just after he got used to this new chapter in life. We are thinking of moving there before our application has finished processing though we want to wait for SA, BM and the medical exam before we decide on a date.

I didn't really know about GCMS notes and thought they were only for applications that already had been transferred to the visa office.

Since my husband is living here in Germany with me, is it even possible to talk to a MP? I guess we will research that and then try to reach one on Monday.

Be more patient...I have the same issue AOR July 23...I just got my SA last Oct 3 ..more than 2 months. When I called them they told me the welfare check is the one taking time the province has to verify that you did not go on some sort of welfare ...sometimes they said the province takes time to respond...dont worry it will come when you least expected it...like mine did

Luthien's case is different. She applied in the beginning of April, it's been 6 months already. She needs to take some actions now. There have been cases when an application was just forgotten and it can stay without officer's attention for months until someone actually reminds them about it.

Yes, you need to be pro active, what is this wait non sense... We were very pro active in our application, if you think there was a mistake on the application, send out the corrections right away. The last correction I have sent was in Manila, I've made a mistake with when was the first time I have met my partner in person, I have mixed up the years, so I have sent a letter explaining my mistake with other proof of address to MVO.... Don't make them forget about you. Also, I hope everybody does photocopies of all the forms before you send them out, you could always come back to them later and look for mistakes, this is what I have done, sometimes I would go through the forms again and I would notice some mistakes. We got our Pre arrival 3 days ago.

I actually just remembered this weekend that I never included a trip to Vienna. I don't know the exact dates anymore but from what I have read in this forum by now, it seems that I have to include every little trip I have made into another country. I have no idea how they would know especially if it is within the EU, but do you suggest that it is better to tell them about this mistake and update the form? Plus if there is a new version would you just send the whole thing or just update that page?

Sent them a webform on Oct 1st, not too long ago today recieved a response... but nothing important. They said that my question was already answered on September 6. Sept. 6 was when I called them to check the status of our application.

In the message they gave me they did not say anything other than the fact that my inquiry was answered on September 6 when I called...

What does it mean when your status is put on hold?! Are they not working on it? What does your ecas say?

For us, our application says it is "In process" in ECAS, and when I called them they said they were working on the Sponsor's eligibility.

They are asking us to send newly updated forms (5532 and 5669). The letter sounds as if our application was incomplete and now they are asking us to send these forms again even though we sent them and I am sure that they would have returned the whole application if they were missing. Also they just say "newly updated" and not that they were actually missing. I am happy that we can do something now but it seems like a complete waste of time especially because the letter states that if our application meets all requirements for processing after submitting the documents, it will enter the processing queue based on its date of re-submission.

Super excited to share news. We finally have some movement/update on our application! Yesterday, Oct 21 we got request for biometrics. Today I got accepted for sponsor eligibility!

I highly recommend ordering GCMS notes. Wished I ordered them before. I still didn't recieved them, but I believe it's what made our file move along.

Our initial application was submitted in April and after 45 days it was returned due to missing signature , your lucky they only asked for the forms ours was returned sent it again in end of May then they put in the queue again for May

How am I lucky? They made us wait for 5 months after sending out AOR1. There was no signature missing. I would have much rather had the whole application sent back to us in May and then resubmitted it right away. We probably would be further in the process now.
I am fairly sure that there isn't even anything that we did wrong because why did they not send it back or request new forms right away? It still seems weird to me and I hope that we will receive our GCMS notes as many don't actually seem to get them. I would love to see what is written in there as a reason as they didn't give us one.
