No Surname in passport

I do not have a Surname and just have the given name. Now based on the instruction present on the CIC website, I am supposed to put my Given Name in the Surname field and keep the Given Name blank. There is a specific instruction asking the applicants not to add "“Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”".

Now the issue is i am unable to keep the Given Name column blank. It is mandating me to enter something in English or French (NO special character like - or * and it is not accepting a space too).

Anybody facing the same issue ? What did you do. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks in advance for taking time to answer my question.

Say your Given Name is GANESH KARTHICK and NO Surname so you write your full name in SURNAME ie GANESH KARTHICK.
