Hi,
right now i dont have any status in canada. I already applied for spouse sponsorship.

Is it safe to change my driver license address to my new address.

Will i be in CBSA radar and they will get me if i put my new address??

I don't believe that CBSA will be notified of the new address.
However, driving with the wrong address on a driving licence is likely to cause you more problems if you are stopped by the police.

When did you apply for spouse sponsorship? You are basically telling them you are out of status once they start processing your app.

I guess you need a valid status to get a license initially, but not sure if it instigates any checks on status for address changes?

Probably being stopped would reveal the lack of status and CBSA involvement anyway?

Yes, that is certainly a possibility. A standard roadside stop and online licence check may be enough for the CBSA to become involved.

No i am not driving at all. My drivers license is expiring in couple months so i was thinking of changing it to new address and renew it. I have no status for 3 years.

I applied spouse sponsorship feb 2018

That's good as driving would just increase the chances of 'getting on their radar' so to speak.

If it's a renewal I think you would have to show a valid ID such as PR card or valid visa?

Hey I’m in a similar situation. Did you get status back after spousal sponsorship. I’ve been out of status since 1 year now

You responded to a post from 5 years ago. Just sayin' ;)

A person does regain legal status if their PR application is approved. Did you submit an Inland spousal sponsorship application?
If so, have you received any updates from IRCC?
