Hi everyone ,

My parents arrived last weekend using supervisa but they got no stamp on their passport. When I looked it up, it says when there is no stamp, they are only allowed to stay for up to 6 months or when the passport expired , whichever comes first.

This is really heartbreaking. Did anyone else go through this pain and found out what can be done ?

one lawyer's office apparently though the exp date as expiry of supervisa , so she suggested to request for visitor permit. The IRCC office issued a visitor permit based on that expiry date which is eventually the date one has to enter upon receiving supervisa. What are the step the lawyers office should take. Should this elderly parent leave because of lawyer's mistake after few month of staying in super visa? What will be IRCC responding in this case. This is frustrating that even paying the lawyer a big chunk of money they don't even understand the Visa STAMP.
