Hi,

On my return journey from Mumbai(India) to Toronto, the Canadian Immigration officer didn't stamp on my passport.

There is nothing on my passport that say i have landed in toronto on certain date. However There is a stamp by Mumbai Immigration.

Its a direct Flight from Mumbai - Toronto(Non Stop)

So my last entry in Canada, can I mention the same date stamped by Mumbai Immigration which is Nov 8 2011, and its the same day I have landed in Toronto also.

Thanks

Do you remember the date/day when you entered Canada? For me it was +1 day to date stamped on Mumbai Immigration. Try to recollect or look into your old itinerary from your email? you should have some sort of record about this travel

Yes I remember the Date and I can sure look into my itinerary,,,, BTW is the stamp thing by Immigration officer at perason Airport to be ignored ?

Well, about the stamp thing your telling me that the officer did not stamp anything when you entered Canada which is weird. I traveled to multiple places outside Canada and I got stamped every time when I entered Canada. Maybe he forgot to stamp it (Check your passport pages thoroughly however). You can ignore it and I dont see this to be a problem in the future because when you apply for PR under CEC they are not requesting you to submit a photocopy of all pages of passport demonstrating the entry and exit :D . They just asked for first and last page :) where you have your name and photo. Please check the document checklist and look over this info again ;)

Thanks for your reply,,, Yes, no stamp for some reasons,,,,, i'll take your advise

How many times are we going to discuss entry dates? Did you even do a search? I made a reply about the same thing yesterday.

Last entry to Canada means last entry to Canada - not Mumbai.

If you know the date you arrived in Canada, which you say you do, that is the date you write.

Yea I rarely get stamped in by Canadian officers. My application involved a lot of detective work for the "travels" section cos Canada never stamps me in!

I faced the same issue once while entering through Toronto.. Did the immigration officer scan your p/p? In that case, no worries. Else, preserve boarding passes .. also I read somewhere that you can keep some ATM receipts as well.. for me, never faced any issues.. I travelled in/out later 2 more times and made sure each time the passport gets stamped.. overall, not a big issue

After I posted about the photocopying of the passport. I wanted to verify this myself with you guys. Photocopying first and last pages of the passport will suffice right? (or should we photocopy every single page where it has been stamped during entry and exit?)

Quite normal for your passport not to be stamped after your first entry, if you conditions haven't changed. Your entry is recorded when they scan your passport.
