No Spouse Name in passport

Hi,

Me nor my wife have spouse name registered in the passport and the same passports are shown in the ITA Filing. Addition is spouse name in passport mandatory ? If mandatory, I will apply for passports reissue. Then our passport details will not match with CIC ITA application as we ll get new passport and new passport number. So plz advice, shall I apply for passport reissue or the existing passport without spouse name and showing marriage certificate will suffice ??

Marriage cerificate will suffice.
You can get your passports updated and later update them in your profile. That wont be a problem. U can provide an LoE for that change in passport information. If there is no time.. dont bother updating your passport. I hope it has more than 6 months validity.
