No six month waiting for off campus Work permit from jan 2014 onwards...

The below are the rules to get off campus work permit in my university:mead said:
graduate studies students (including pre-masters):
− no grade lower than a B in any course taken, AND
−cumulative GPA can not be below 3.0, AND
−obtain written confirmation of acceptable academic performance from the graduate student’s advisor.
I am confusing about the last sentence. Does it indicate to obtain written confirmation from my research supervisor/advisor/professor????
Yes, I mean my professor.
every department has a graduate students adviser u should search ur university and dept website to see who he is .....may or may not be ur professor and anyways why would ur professor not give u conformation ? is he paying u? if ur in good academic standing no one should be able to stop u.saifcanada said:

The study permit holder must be pursuing academic, vocational or professional training of six months or more that leads to a degree, diploma or certificate at a designated institution.

Do we need to apply for off campus work permit those who are already within Canada with study permit? Someone says, this rules for new students who are coming after June!!!!! I think, this regulation for all INTERNATIONAL students within CANADA.
