No sir name in passport

I have only first name as Jyoti in passport and in all other educational documents.
I am married .So I should add husband name as sir name in passport first and then apply for Canada/USA visa.. or I can keep my name as Jyoti only as it match with my other documents and then apply for Canada /USA visa.

please suggest

I have a similar issue. I dont have a last name in the passport but have a last name in education certificates. The education certificates are based on local ID Which have my last name.
