No record of PR Card renewal

I sent a Webform containing pictures for my wife’s PR card renewal which was done online and we got a response saying “ We have verified your file and were unable to find any record of your online application.”

Is this normal? Would there be any negative effects of submitting a paper application?

When did she apply for the renewal? Was she in Canada when she applied?

Originally applied on December 7, 2022. Application was returned on December 29, 2022 and the reason was "photos are missing". Resubmitted on December 30th. All from in Canada. Really hoping it's just a matter of it not being in process yet.

Hasn’t received AOR yet. Wait a few more weeks for application to get AOR. Don’t reapply.

It was done online using the PR Portal. From what I have gathered on this forum there is no AOR when applying online. Sure would be nice if there was so we could track.

Similar to AOR. Application needs to be checked for any missing or incorrect forms before is is visible in the system.

Do you think it is likely just not being processed yet which is why there was no record of the online application?

Yes that’s what’s happening. Assume sometime before the end of January will likely be visible.

Our application was returned again, for the same reason(photos are missing). Do you think it would be ok to submit a paper application instead of resubmitting online? This is the second time this has happened now and the photos are clearly there.

Would look through the forum I know there was a general issue with pictures but not sure what is going on. Would suggest talking to others in the same situation.

Yes, I confirmed with IRCC that they are having issues with the portal. In my case, the photo was fine and the portal has an issue.
