No re-medical request, traveling Aug 7?

My medical exam expires July 30, and my flight is August 7. I haven’t received a request for a new medical exam. Should I just book it and re do it asap? I can probably do it this week, there’s almost no queue in my country for medicals atm. The lab that does them told me I’m able to book it without a new IME if I know I’m gonna need one anyway. Is this true?

Chances are you will not be able to fly on Aug 7. Your visa WILL become invalid soon after July 30. If you do your medicals today, it takes about 4 weeks for IRCC to update if on your profile and for your visa to be activated again.

Almost in similar situation, medical expired on 11th July, planned to travel in August 1st week. Upfront medical done again on 3rd July so that it get updated by that time.

Does it always takes four weeks? My medicals were approved in less than a week the first time I did them.

With remedicals after approval, the trend we've been seeing here is 4 - 6 weeks.
