No PR card but going Out of Canada, Can or Can't ? What is the option ?

Dear Friends
My Daughter has field trip to US with her Girls guides group in last week of this month (March 2014) but We don’t have PR card yet.. We became a Permanent Resident in Feb 2014.
What is the other option for travel to US & back to Canada ?
Please advise friends.

Are you driving?
If you're just driving to a border, all she needs is the CoPR.

If you're flying to an airport, she needs to apply for a Travel Document.
