No PR card after 4+ months?

So my date of landing was August 4th, and the officers that helped me said it'd take up to 8 weeks to receive my PR card.

11 weeks went by and I faxed a form in stating that I had never received it along with the report number Canada Post gave me when I reported missing mail. That was on October 20th, and it's been almost 9 weeks and still no card.

This obviously is a huge problem. I have my SIN and my care card number for BC, but as far as I know I can't get any proper Canadian IDs until that PR card arrives.

I'll give this a couple more weeks but what else can I do to get my card? This is ridiculous.

buddy you are not alone, i also did not receive PR card yet after landing on Aug 8th.

i'm pretty sure the solemn declaration doesn't automatically re-issue a new card. the cic website suggests getting a new card issued can take about 6 months. it's not going to be a short process if you didn't get an initial card. perhaps you can call CIC to get an update on your status. the call center may be helpful.

It took 4 months for me to receive my PR card, apparently my other family members' photos weren't to required specs and they had to re-submit them in person. Try calling the CIC call centre so that your case gets highlighted. I landed in Vancouver also.

Hmm, no idea on the photo. Is the call centre that same one you can never get through to? Where did you go to submit your photos in person? There's the place I got my SIN number up the block but I don't know if I can go there or if I have to go elsewhere in Vancouver. We can't be sure at this point that its the photos that are the problem. CIC will notify you if this is the case. Yes, the same call centre but sometimes you get through. The CIC office that deals with PR matters in Vancouver is near BC Place Stadium.

You can only go to that office to submit photos in person if you have been scheduled an appointment by CIC via receiving a letter directly on your home address. Sorry I forgot one more thing! What I did was fill the 'address notification' form on CIC website. Its an ECAS style interface where you submit your Canadian address. But I did that like 3 months after not hearing back anything from CIC's end. Who knows, maybe the CBSA sometimes fails to provide CIC with a mailing address? We received letter from CIC around 2 weeks after I did this address notification thing.

I landed 22Aug and have not received my PR card yet.

Been calling CIC hotline every month but they said there's nothing I can do for now but to just wait. They've been telling me that my card is still in process and it has not been mailed. Ive asked if there is something wrong or did my app is undergoing quality check, but they dont know and cant say what is wrong.

My address in ecas is the correct address.

its not going to be cancelled. once you're inside Canada, you're already a permanent resident by virtue of landing.

I think august arrivals got some glitched. I now can breathe at least i know im not alone.

Where is your port of entry? i did my landing formalities at pearson airport. Let's see if its an issue of POE or just CIC.
