My first IELTS scores were 7 for listening, 8 for Writing, 9 for Speaking, 9 for Reading. Because of the 7 I got for listening I lost points multiple places since there is additional points to be gained if you get CLB 9 in all categories. Sigh, anyway I reluctantly but did anyway took the test a second time. I got my results today, and now I got 8.5 for listening, 9 for Reading, 8.5 for writing and 8 for speaking, so great I have CLB 9 and over in all categories. I excitedly went to update my Express Entry profile, I hit Continue and transmitted my changes. At first the status was 'Processing Update' and now it just says 'Submitted' but my CRS points did not change. I am still getting the language scores as if I still have the 7 in the listening category. I know when I first created my profile my points was calculated immediately. Is this usual?
Another unrelated question. My husband is on my profile but he did not do an English test nor did he get his degree evaluated because its just so much money. As it is I spent over $700 on just me! So with him on my profile but with no language test or degree I am losing points. Is there a way I can remove him from my application and petition for him at a later date? (if I am successful in getting permanent residence in Canada). If I remove him I would have 447 points which is so very close to 450.....
Thanks in advance..
