Hi everyone, i have a question please.My nephew arrived 2 weeks ago.His course is 10months only.The school is accredited but they don't issue PGWP because it's a private school..Is he allowed to apply for work permit after he finished his study.What are the best advice for him so he can stay here in canada after he finished his studies? The best advice is to complete a semester of studies at his current school and then to switch to a school and program that qualifies for a PGWP.
He will only be able to work after he completes his studies if he qualifies for a closed work permit. To qualify for a closed work permit, he needs to get a job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA.
