I hold a European passport. A few years ago I travelled to Canada and the USA as a visitor. I flew into Canada and travelled by bus and car. When I crossed the US border, the US border officer stamped my passport. However, when I crossed back into Canada by car a few weeks later, the Canada border officer did not stamp my passport. I don't know why. I stayed in Canada for 3 days before flying back home.

Do I have to declare this trip in the Travel History? And do I write in the LOE that my passport was not stamped?

Or will they not find any records of me entering Canada because it wasn't stamped?

I too have experienced the same. I have been living in Canada and been to US on a visit. I have mentioned the trip as per my memory. I guess Immigration officials get report from boarder security.

Do you have a US passport? US passport don't necessarily have to be stamped when entering Canada.

You write down all trips, with or without stamps.

I am not sure there is any stamp when going out of Canada, even by air. I have exited Canada about 4 times in the last two years and do not have a single exit stamp on these departure dates

No, I meant I didn't get a stamp when I entered Canada by car from the US.

That's normal. Just list this travel in your travel history.

Crossing into Canada or the USA by land is different to crossing in by air, you don't even need ETA/ESTA. I never received stamps when re-entering via land, but always by air. Also, neither Canada nor the USA give exit stamps. You should still mention it though because they will have recorded your travel history at the border, and not mentioning it would be a serious breach of honestly on your application.

Absolutely, I have mentioned it. I didn't realize that they didn't necessarily stamp the passport when entering by land so I was wondering what that was about. Thanks
