Hi All,

I have a work experience of 3 yrs and 3 months but I don't see the option of 3-4 yrs while creating the express entry profile. It has 2-3 and 4-5 yrs. What is the option should I choose for my scenario? Thanks for the help.

2-3 years.
Thanks for the reply. I can't select 2-3 yrs as it reduces my CRS point by 25 points (I get only 25 points for Skills Transfer ability instead of 50 which I get for having CLB 9+ in all areas and 3+ years of foreign work experience), and my score will drop from 481 to 456.

Your answer makes zero sense. You have to select 2-3 years. You cannot select 4-5 years since you don't have at least 4 years of work experience.

The fact this drops your CRS points is irrelevant. You can't claim points for work experience you don't have. You need to work 9 more months before you can claim points for 4-5 years of work experience.

I know it doesn't make sense, and I can't use 4-5 yrs as my work experience since I haven't worked for 4yrs but I used the CIC official CRS calculator to check my score. There is the option of 3yrs and more for the work experience in the drop down.Hence, my score is coming to 481.I don't understand why there is a discrepancy between the two.

Right. So you have 2-3 years experience. 3 years is up to 4 years.
thankyou for your reply. I just hope by choosing 2-3 years ill still be eligible and it will not counted as less than 3 yrs. for FSW i need at least 3 years experience.
