I am a Canadian Citizen, sponsoring my wife who is Peruvian.
We have been working on Cruise ships for the last 5 years, and have spent little time in Canada and as such have not filed taxes during my time away. I am unable to get an option C printout, but as I have left my job with the cruise lines am not able to get a letter from them regarding my pay, all I have is pay stubs from them, but they are just printed on plain paper. When I submit my application and do not include the Option C, are they going to accept this? I have called Revenue Canada and they just told me to submit a form to request them to judge if I am a resident for Tax purposes. But this will take 5 months, which I cant really wait for.
Will my pay stubs and a letter explaining this situation be adequate? Even if I were to submit taxes, Revenue Canada told me to wait till I get a response back from them before I submit.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
