Just trying to understand how this could be the case.ljiljka007 said:I'm not trying to confuse anybody. I'm just saying what my case is. I went to accountant to fill my fax, and he did that for me. In 3 weeks I received NOA in mail. And I started working in May last year, so this is the first year I'm paying any tax in Canada.
So I don't know how I received it that fast, but I did. That's all I'm saying.. There's no need to accuse me for confusing other people.
Thank You
Are you certain that this is your first time filing your taxes?
I see that this could be the first year you are paying any tax in Canada but you might have filed your tax return in previous years, not receiving or owing any taxes.
If so, your case is quite unusual.
As noted in my post above, individuals filing their tax returns for the first time cannot use NETFILE to file their returns.
Moreover, it is provided that non-Canadian residents cannot use NETFILE.
(This one I'm not sure of, as it could be referencing non-Canadian residents from the tax point of view, which could include individuals on work permits and such)
