No need for proof of fund for CEC 'canadian experience class' in EE?

Hey Everybody,

I talked to a consultant and she was saying I can remove the money I have claimed that I will bring in my profile for express entry as I am eligible for both CEC and skilled worker class. She said CEC doesn't require proof of fund and it's only the skilled worker class and since I'm eligible for both I can just remove what I have declared.

Could anyone tell me if that's true? Wouldn't it hurt my application if I remove the fund I have claimed?

thanks

The consultant is right. Go ahead and remove the funds.

This is what CIC says about the same "Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, or you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada."

You won't get chosen for the skilled category, because in case an applicant is eligible for both CEC and FSW, he will only be invited under CEC stream. :D

Thanks for all your replies, so I tried deleting it and it doesn't let me , it needs a value there, what should I put there now? zero? That sounds a bit scary, what if they reject because of that zero?

This is what Express Entry FAQ says about the same.

Depending on the information in your profile, you may be eligible for more than one program through Express Entry.

In that case, you will be invited to apply for one program based on this order:
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC),
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), then
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

For example:
- If you met the criteria for all three programs, the system would send you an invitation to apply for the CEC.
- If you met the criteria for CEC and FSWP, you would also get an invitation to apply under the CEC.
- If you met the criteria for FSWP and FSTP, you would get an invitation to apply under FSWP.

You can’t choose which program you are invited to apply for. The system will sort profiles based on the information you enter.

oh wow! Thanks a lot , so I think it doesn't matter even if I have the fund there. Since CEC goes first. I appreciate it very much that you provide references. Great work!

In case for any reason, your profile becomes ineligible (which I dont think will happen), don't panic, you can create a new profile. Meanwhile, before making any changes, would suggest you to keep screenshots of all pages for reference.

Thanks , I think I 'm just gonna leave it with the fund in it. Unless I need the money and then perhaps I'll remove the claim. Thank a lot again
