In my Indian marriage certificate issued by Hindu marriage registrar there is a rubber stamp imprinted which says:

"If the document is needed or used in foreign countries or for acceptance by foreign missions in India, authentication of the document by the designated authority, viz Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India is necessary".

Can I go ahead with this certificate for upload (post ITA) or does it need an attestation from MEA? I am just a few days away from the deadline. So, request people to share your inputs. Appreciate your help!

Can Someone please help me here? To register for a marriage you have to be present in the country because these days they have introduced the process of biometrics. Also, I have english nikah nama which clearly says marriage certificate in the heading. What if I do MEA attestation on it ? It ll prove the authenticity of the document.

@pathan19 hey. did the english translated qazi nikah nama with MEA attestation work with you? Please let me know as I am in the same boat.
