Hi there,

I heard that some Canadian Provinces were trying to promote "linguistice duality" by allowing Canadian companies to hire French foreign workers without doing a LMIA first. Can anyone shed further light on the subject?
Here is an article I also found online but doesnt really say whether it's true or not:
theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/french-jobs-fair-tells-firms-they-can-hire-foreign-workerss-without-skills-assessment/article18374962/

I got a temporary job offer in Toronto but my potential employer would rather not go through the hassle of an LMIA if possible...

Thanks,

A.
