no letter from cic manila

hi all!

my brother is currently a PR for over a year now in SK and we are planning on applying for SINP Family Category.

i saw from the post here that there are applications which took 1 and even 2 year before they received approval from SINP and i'd like to know what category were they applying.

would it take 1-2 years before SINP approves/nominates you?

june 07- application started
aug 28, 09- saskatchewan provincial nomination approved date
sept 13, - nomination letter received
nov 23, 09 - requested docs sent to cic-manila with permanent resident application, paid also for PR fee
Its been more than 4 months and there is no news from the embassy... Is that normal? Accdg. to the cic site,7 months is the minimum processing time but why do some received their aor and medical request in just 2 or 3 mos? Just worried of any problem in my application because up to now there is no upadate. I hope you could help. God bless us all! :-*

CEM called april 19 1in response with my inquiry and suprised bcoz medical request and aor already sent dec 2009!!!!!!! . There must be a problem in our post office. Maybe God has reasons for the delay. I'll take my medical next week...

hi to all, i submit our passports, 2 visa pictures, and appendix 1 last april 15, 2010 and until now we dnt receive any visa. I hope it will come very soon. Goodluck to all of us!

sep 2009 approval
oct 2009 submit all necessary requirements pay application fee 2 kids 2 adults
dec 2009 medical request
january 2010 medical done feb 2010 medical results passed by timbol clinic
mar 26 2010 ppr mar 31 2010 passport sent to embassy
april 28 visa released may 6 2010 got my passport with visa stamped
june 5,2010 leaving the pilipinas kong mahal and going to mannitoba canada
hope it helped u guys,just be patient and do whatever they request asap....

im just wondering what will i do for the stickers they sent me together with the acknowledgment letter and OR. is this for the additional requirements they will ask me like for e.g. the forms they asked us to fill-up (schedule 1, IMM 008 etc.) if its not complete? or anything they will ask us to submit?
