OK here is my story,
Applied for citizenship 2011, Processing started 2012, passed the exam 20/20 april 2014!!!!!!!
Still waiting for oath letter.
Reason told to me: pending clearances.
ATIP: Suspend-IMM in 2015
Reason told to MP: Waiting for CBSA report.
5 years++++IN process. You can finish a huge national project in five years and get it done!!!! A president is elected for 4 Years.
5 years to process a file. Are you kidding me.

My case was halt because of CBSA as well (one year ago). I requested ATIP from CBSA, my MP wrote the letter to CBSA and got the response that CBSA cleared my file and it's up to CIC to close it from their end.al.bagheri said:

It is weird that they actually do not respond why they are holding the files. It is the applicants right to be aware of his own file. It is like to order food in a restaurant and sit there for 10 hours , the servant says it is in process.
If they need something , they should ask.
If there is a problem they should inform, people whether resolve it or not. there should be communication between cic and applicant. they cannot simply ignore.

my PR expires in 2018, not soon. There is nothing I can add to your statement. Especially after I grilled them from every possible side, they should have informed me what's wrong. But I guess they try to avoid saying that there was administrative mistake, by admitting it they potentially become liable for that mistake.al.bagheri said:
