donot wait till the last day ( jan 16th) to reply for their request, if you cannot provide the requested document from employer atleast let them know and may be ask for a substitute document to prove the same point....

since you have submitted all the documents that you could submit, we can only answer certain queries raised by CIC indirectly if not in a direct manner....

this should not be a big obstacle and case should not be rejected for this silly reason.... as it is just a query, but since it is a pilot project , it depends on the case officer.

May be instead of calling it a "reference letter", tell them it is a letter stating your job duties. Are you able to write down your job duties based on what you do in your position, have the manager verify it and if they agree, sign it? Will they consider that? I'm just concerned that it can become a problem where CIC is wondering what reason(s) exist for them to hold out even on your job duties? e.g are workers being exploited? Also, there could be something in your contract which is leading CIC to ask for this "no obligation letter".

I guess the take home is to always keep a copy of the original job vacancy you applied for because it usually will have your main duties.

seems that these kind of letters are really putting our fellow mates in a fix...

friends, seniors, experts, everyone out there who already have a PR..please help us with some information to get out of this situation :(

Hi Rambo and other folks,

I have sent a mail to CIC informing my inability to provide the letter from my employer and my deputation agreement as a substitute for the letter requested. Keeping my fingers crossed!! Wish me best of luck.

Thank you,

Hi All,

Sorry to say that my application has been rejected. Following are the excerpts from their mail.

"I am not satisfied that you meet the skilled work experience requirement. You did not submit a letter of reference from your employer specifying your job title, duties, responsibility and salary while in Canada. Although you submitted a deputation agreement, and letters indicating your salary in Indian rupees, you did not submit any documentation that indicated what experience you obtained in Canada. As such, I am not satisfied that you meet the skilled work experience requirement.

Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and Regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application."

What next for me? My humble request to all seniors to advise me the next move.
