NO Family Name / Surname since forefathers time.

Dear Senior members,

I don't have Surname/ Family name. My passport and educational documents shows nothing in the place of surname. I need your guidance in filling the application forms. In the place of surname what i shall mention..? i cannot leave it blank in any of the application forms right..? Especially Generic Application. According to the previous posts by other members for similar problem they suggested two things:

1. Split the given name and write in the surname column.

2. Leave it blank or say NOT APPLICABLE.

Please suggest me what i shall fill in that column.

Does the form give you an option to leave the surname field blank ?

No the "Generic Application form" doesn't allow to leave the family name blank. What i shall do

Even your passport shows the surname as blank ???

Write your given name in surname field and write Not Applicable in your given name field. This is as per CIC website. You may Google 'CIC.GC.ca + surname' to verify this. Hope this help.
