No email from CHC even after getting visa

Hello All,

I recently got my study permit for Canada. The issue is I have not received any mail from CHC with my letter of approval attached. I dropped a mail to them today morning regarding this and they replied that they have already sent the mail from their end. But I checked in all my inbox and junk folders, its not there.

Now I had linked my paper application to my online CIC account So i was able to download the letter for approval from there. So what i wish to know is how important is that mail? Will it be okay to have just the letter of approval and the visa or is there any significant information in the email that they send.

Well, I didn't get any approval email, I just got a hard copy of approval mail along with passport.

Yes, it's important, that mail contains information about your immigration profile and stuffs, which you need it to show to the CBSA officer as soon as you land to Canada. It's the same thing - the email that you get, is basically the letter of approval.

I got the entire letter of approval with the relevant data as a pdf copy when my linked my paper application to my cic account. I think since I had already linked my account, I didnt get a physical mail.
