I have seen a few posts from you regarding your application and how your timeline is currently looking.

I noticed that you had issues previously with the VO assuming that your nieces/nephews were your children. I don't quite understand how they would even assume that is the case unless the original file was somehow messed up and you put them as dependents on your application?

You could possibly have 'red flags' on your application indicating that more in depth information is needed before they can continue with your process.

You really should order your GCMS notes and take a look at what is being done and noted on your file if you are that worried about it.

Everyone's files process differently, even with the same VO because not everyone is exactly the same. If you have any military history, for example, you can expect that your file WILL take longer as they examine every deployment in depth. If you have any criminality issues, expect that your file will take longer. If you married your wife on your first meeting, it would take longer.

There are so many reasons that to list them here would take all day for you to read. Just take a deep breath and wait. That is about all you can do.

Yes none of those things you mentioned are applicable to our application, and the whole niece and nephew thing should be cleared up, Our love story (My wife and I's) indicates she was with my niece and nephews as well.

Yes we will be asking for those in about a week
You are only in process 10 months, still well within reasonable processing times. Your MP won't do anything. Many people through CPC-Ottawa take around 1 full year, some quicker and some slower. Each case is unique so you can't always go by other people's times and just need to be patient.

Order your GCMS notes. You'll know for sure what they are thinking. Anything said here is only speculation because we aren't the VO's in charge of your file.

She can try to contact her MP and ask about it, but I suspect that she'll get little help since your file has only been processing for 8 months. They will usually only get involved after someone is well past the stated 'timeline' which is a current 'lumpsum' of 17 months (as listed here)

GCMS notes take about 30 days to arrive. They'll be 'current' as the date that you order them. At least that will give you something to look at and you'll have a better understanding on what in particular seems to be holding you up.

Hi thanks for your answers to my husband. First off, there are no red flags in my husband’s application. It is straight forward. I have ordered 2 GCMS notes in the past. The reason they are speculating that my husband has children according to the notes is because they assumed they are his kids based on the pictures on the proof of our relationship. All of them I have labeled indicating the relationship of the people in the pictures. I would never add them as my husband’s dependants. Why would I do that? They are not his kids and they have parents?! That does not make any sense. They are assuming because of pictures. That’s all that there is. A proof that I did not make any mistakes is the are asking for the Additional Family Information Form as they are saying that he has not added his “children” as his dependants. AND I’M LIKE WHY WOULD SOMEONE ADD THEIR NIECE AND NEPHEWS IF THEY ARE NOT THE LEGAL GUARDIANS OF THE CHILDREN?!!!Speculating based on the pictures that you see is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and a stupid mistake that we are now having to face because someone is not doing their job properly! That is the whole story why my husband’s application is being delayed.

I have done everything that they asked, I have done my part. I was involved in a car crash that I am suffering and this application is not helping at all. M y husband is not here with me, I am in so much debt and my health is deteriorating. So that’s the story of me and my husband’s lives.

And just so everyone knows, he is American, with no red flags an American processing takes around 6-10 months. His application has been In process since August 2015. Now it is sitting on a pile. The las time I have ordered notes is December. It has not changed since October 2015 which was when they decided that my husband is the father of his niece and nephews?!!!HOW DISGRACEFUL.
