Hey, I came across your post as I’m facing the same issue as you. I submitted my application on the 25th Dec and haven’t got the generic submission confirmation email.

My PR application is under non-express PNP program.

I want to mention that when I clicked on submit, it showed the circle loading buffer and it stayed there for about 5 mins. So I closed the tab and signed back in and I see that’s it’s submitted.

Same situation but for spousal sponsorship (family class, outland). Clicked submit on December 26, but it was loading forever so I logged out and logged in. Then I saw the status as submitted. I didn't receive any email.

I will wait until next Friday before I submit a web form. Even though it says submitted, I’m still nervous and concerned that I will receive an email that it’s not actually submitted and will have to re-apply again. Imagine waiting months only to find out they can’t see your application.

You would think someone type these emails and the guy is taking time off for Christmas. It’s a freaking automated email, you can’t mess this up. Unless there was some kind of maintenance or something going on with the website around that time.

Don't. Just complcates things. Wait until you get the biometric instruction letter.

I just received an email from IRCC that they have received my application. Hope everyone else who enquired received the same. I was worried it ran into technical issue since I did not get any confirmation email but I am relieved that it was received! Good luck everyone.
