NO BLS appointment slots for OCI

BLS online calendar shows no appointment slots available for OCI for brampton till 10th nov.
And it it not booking any appointments after 10th.
When I called them, the person immediately started to recommend applying through courier.
And he would not give any details about appointment slots availability, saying just check online.

I cannot afford to delay my OCI , I need to travel in december.
Is applying through courier the only option?
