Hi All,
I am planning to apply for my PR under CEC. The document checklist says, I need a birth certificate. Unfortunately, I dont have a birth certificate on me. I am wondering if I can submit any other document as a surrogate to it.

Help highly appreciated.
Thank you.

You can submit an affidavit.

Your school record / Certificate also accepted provided it has your name in full, your DOB and your parents' name in full (either father / mother or both)

You say that you don't have "a birth certificate on me". If you have a birth certificate, even though it is not on you, must obtain it and submit it.

No... Actually, I dont have a birth certificate at all... I lost it long back when my apartment burnt down... Doesn't an affidavit work?

In your case no. You apply for a new copy of your birth certificate.

That's the easiest way. Go for it.
