No AOR for Quebec Application

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm a bit confused. I have lodged my application (which I sent by courrier) and received by the Visa Office in France on 17.04.2010. By the way, I live in England...I have not received any AOR to date, but surprisingly, today the Visa Office have just took the Application fees from my account.

Does this serve as the AOR, and mean that my application has finally been touched and is now being processed. Do I still wait for an AOR. It's a bit confusing really, been a month and a half months now since they received the application.

Hope someone can help. TY :'(

you will receive an AOR from visa office, but dont worry about time period. its different for different visa offices. i got mine in a week from hong kong, whereas my other frds on this forum got it in 2 mnths from damascus visa office.

the AOR can tell you two things: either your application package is complete and they will start processing it, OR there is some thing missing in you application whcih you need to send in a defined time period.

Hi,

Do not worry..AOR receival can be delayed as late as upto 3 mothns. Chill out..you wil get AOR soon..

It's only that its a bit confusing. Other visa offices would send an AOR as soon as they receive the package. So does it mean that now that they have deducted the money they are beginning the processing stage or they have completed it? Which stage am I at now? Sorry to really sound enquisitive, just a bit confused with the Quebec Process, seems it ain't a really well defined process.

Which is your visa office and could you give your timelines?? Date of application sent and received by visa office..

since they have deducted the money, they must be checking your documents, and you will receive your AOR soon, once you receive your AOR, only after then they will start processing your application.

Hi guys,

How irresponsible of me, lol...got my AOR on the 9th of June and never said a thing. Anyway, I guess the battle begins. And one more thing, the whole letter was in French, some of the things I could follow whilst reading (Am a French lover and have taught myself a bit of French basics). So I typed the whole letter and translated on google translator. So what happen now??? Wait wait wait and wait I guess. :D
