No acknowledgment yet

Hi,

I received and invitation to apply for OINP two days before Christmas, and all my documents arrived and were signed for on Monday 25th January. I have seen the signature on the Canada Post website, so I know it it there!

However, I have heard nothing. No acknowledgment, nothing. Getting really quite worried now.

If I contact them, will they reply, as it is still within the 90 days?

OINP AORs can take in excess of 60 days to be sent, because of how slowly they process applications. Add to this the fact that OINP was not operating during December and most of January, and it is normal and expected that you would not have an AOR yet.
Btw, the 90 day period starts AFTER you have received your AOR.

Hi, I am in the same boat, they received ours on December the 15th. We haven't heard anything since! We emailed them and they confirmed that they had received the application, but due to the amount of applicants, we were just sat in a pile! The 90 days doesn't start till AOR!.

Yes, due to the number of applications, Syrian refugees and the holidays in between, they are taking more than the regular time for sending out AORs. I got mine yesterday after 111 days. My application was received by OINP on November 12th. It is just a matter of time, you shall get yours. Hopefully, they process application faster . All the best to you guys.

Thanks. No, they check the application in detail only after AOR is issued along with receipt of bank draft. So I have been asked to not to contact them for the next 90 days from now. So technically, it is the time till you get AOR and then another 90 days which makes it 201 days for me. If everything is ok, then they may reply even within the 90 days.
