I see, well definitely a warning sign then. If the husband and wife have not slept together then nothing is really "lost" per se when it comes to the wife. Perfect way to do a scam if you have other intentions and the relationship is not real. I can speak for Punjabi culture, it would be a much bigger deal and harder to do a scam if the marriage has been consummated.

Don’t believe this is a fake marriage. Just someone trying to file early while in the eyes of their family and community they are not fully married and able to live together. Not uncommon people try this all the time usually with a court marriage before the large religious ceremony.
oh sorry I was not clear, I am not saying it is a fake marriage in this case, just that if you were to do one it would be easier if it was not consummated. Hence its better to do all normal ceremonies as per the custom before submitting your file.
And what everyone is saying is that since you didn't do the full marriage rites and ceremonies, IRCC frequently believes that the marriage is fake. Even when you (and we) know its not.

Sorry if it upset you but that is not the intent. I am not saying it is fake, I am saying you must prove not only that your relationship is legal, but that it is also genuine. You must prove both those things. If someone was to fake it they would not ideally want to do the last ceremony either. I think you would agree that it is better to give yourself the highest chances of success. If there are some ceremonies that you did not perform that are normal in other marriages that is just a point the officer can pick at and question. You are giving them an extra reason to question you and lowering your chances. I am not saying it will not be approved or there will be any problems. Everything could work our perfectly fine, but there are things that you could do that will improve your chances, mainly perform all the rituals as per your culture.
Additionally, if you consider the questioning here to be rude, be aware that IRCC will be significantly more invasive and rude if they interview you to determine if the relationship is genuine. In an interview, you can expect questions about sexual activity, personal habits, former boy/girlfriends, and more.
Thought I read about LGBTQ+ couples complaints lead to changes because the questions about their intimate life were extremely in depth like do you use sex toys or is whether you go to parties and have chem sex. The complaint was that questions were much more personal for non heterosexual couples so there were general recommendations that have been put in place. Asking how many times you have sex a week Isn’t something I wouldn’t consider too personal.
The sexual questions that I've seen asked on the forum are not that personal. How often, when and where was the first time, etc.
They will ask how, when, how often, etc if they believe that the marriage has not been consummated, especially in a culture where it is taboo or illegal to live or sleep together if full marriage rites have not been performed.
The ruling about asking about toys is a perverted visa officer rightfully getting into trouble for being an ass.
