Nikah Nama question

Hello everyone,

I just realized something very important, I have a lawyer representing me and when he first sent in my application with my documents, he sent in a scanned photocopy of the Nikah Nama, he assured me that they will ask for original if they need it, as it sometimes gets lost in transit and has to be transfered from one office to the other.

After reading everyone's posts, I am now starting to become very paranoid about my case. Can someone please let me know if it is important to mail the original Nikah Nama copy as soon as possible and if one of you could please provide me with the address that it needs to be sent to.

My husbands case is currently in Islamabad, Pakistan and he has already done his re-med on June/2013 but we have not heard anything after that.

What does it says in your check list..If they requested for the Original Nikah Nama then you should send original and if not scanned/photo copy will be fine..Check ur country wise checklist...

hi, im sure you received one letter from chc islamabad after your file transfer, they update all information again and if they need they will ask additional information & request to download some forms and fill them. some time they ask original nika nama with requested documents.
but if you file first time they only need english translate copy and nika nama copy. hope you are not depending on lawyer look your self what they asking and keep in touch with your lawyer all updates.

Hello, did your husbend received his visa or not. I also made my re medical on Jun and still waiting.
